Downloading and setting up the Lean Library Browser Extension is easy.
Firstly, please download the extension according to the browser you use. You can find out which browsers we support.
Once you've downloaded the extension, you'll be taken to a page showing the extension settings as below. You can simply click the drop-down list and search for your institute.
If you cannot see the settings above, please click the Lean Library extension logo as shown below (you may need to go into your Extension settings to pin it to your toolbar), then select your institute from the drop-down list.
After you've selected your institute, when you arrive at a database that your library has access to, or an article your library has a license for, our extension will pop up and direct you to log in and get authenticated. You'll then be redirected back to the page and have access to the resources and content.
Why is my institute not listed in the drop-down list?
If your institute hasn't signed up for Lean Library, you're still welcome to select the Other - Institution not listed option to use the Lean Library Open to benefit from accessing Open Access resources for free.
