The legacy Sciwheel Browser Extension has retired. As part of our rebrand to Lean Library Workspace, we’ll stop supporting the Sciwheel extension across all browsers. Users should install the Lean Library extension as soon as possible.

New releases and fixes for the Workspace website and tools

Release update - August 2025

 

Browser extension:

  • Added institutions with a Workspace only subscription to the institution selection dropdown. If you can't see your institution, please uninstall and reinstall the extension
  • Added a new reference manager only mode, which streamlines the extension workflow for Workspace only users. This mode selects the Workspace tab by default when clicking the extension icon and disables all popups and other integrations. For more information please see the support article here

  • Implemented a fix that pre-selects single articles in the import window, saving users a click 

     

 

Workspace Website:

  • Firefox Browser: Changed the browser extension link in the TOOLS section to direct to the Lean Library extension rather than the old Sciwheel extension to align with all other browsers
