When you add the Lean Library extension to Firefox, you will be asked to give additional permissions to allow the extension access to your page data and complete setting it up.
Please follow the instructions below to complete the Lean Library installation process.
Lean Library extension installation
- When you install the Lean Library extension for the first time, you will be shown the message below on the extension settings page. Please make sure the box is checked, then click OK to pin the extension to your toolbar.
- You'll then see an additional consent screen in the Preferences tab - you can accept or decline anonymous data collection:
- Next, select your institution from the drop-down list. If you can't find your institution, please choose the option labelled Other - Institution not listed.
- If your institution has the Lean Library Workspace functionality enabled (or if you choose the Institution not listed option), you'll then see a screen prompting you to create or log in to your Workspace account
- With this last step, you have completed the installation process and you can continue with your work. Please note that the extension requires Firefox version 109 or above.
- Please note that we do not track, collect, or store your data unless you agree to it in the preferences pane. For further information, please read our privacy statement.
