The extension will let you import references (both individual articles and search results pages) on a website, or database like PubMed, Google Scholar etc .
- Simply click the extension icon, then click the Workspace icon when the extension opens.
- You’ll be able to see the titles of the articles you can import, and for search results pages you can select articles individually or in bulk.
- At the bottom of the extension window, you’ll see options to import to an existing Workspace Project, or create a new one.
- In cases where a DOI or PMID is detected, the article will be imported with full metadata.
- If we detect an open access PDF we’ll import it and attach it to the reference automatically.
- Once imported, the extension will place an icon next to the titles, indicating what was imported, plus links to open the reference in the Lean Library Workspace website:
- In the case of individual article pages, we'll also show you some basic metadata, a PDF icon if the Open Access PDF was imported, and give you the option to import references cited in the main article:
- You can also import the article automatically by simply highlighting some text, however this won't allow you to choose a project.
