There is a difference in the way that our new Word add-in and Google Docs add-on work compared to the original Word plugin:
- Your citations and bibliography won’t be formatted automatically when citations are inserted, so even if you've just formatted, new citations you insert won't be formatted or added to the bibliography.
- After new citations are inserted, you'll need to run the Format citations and bibliography function again. If this does not work, you might need to remove all the bibliography before running this.
- For this reason, we recommend only formatting every so often to update your citations/bibliography in bulk.
